Data deletion
Last updated 30 Oct 2026
How to have information that Ring keeps about you deleted. Ring is provided by Abdul Sameeu Imad (Ukulhas, Maldives).
If you are a guest
You can ask for the information a property keeps about you in Ring to be deleted. This includes messages you sent through WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook Messenger, TikTok, Telegram, email or website chat.
How to ask:
- By email: write to hello@ring.properties. Write from the email address or phone number you used, or tell us the name of the property and the account you wrote from (for example your Instagram username), so we can find your information and confirm the request is yours.
- Through the property: you can also ask the property you stayed with directly.
What is deleted: your conversations with the property on every channel, your contact details and your guest profile.
What may be kept for a while: booking, invoice and identity records that the law requires the property to keep (often five years for tax and guest registers). These are deleted when that period ends.
If you are a staff member, owner or agent
- In the Ring app: go to Your account › Delete my account and confirm. Your sign-in and personal details are removed.
- Or: ask your property’s administrator to remove you, or email hello@ring.properties.
The record of changes you made to bookings and bills stays with the property’s history, so its records stay complete. It is shown without your personal details once your account is deleted.
If a property stops using Ring
The property can export its data for up to 30 days after its subscription ends. After 90 days, Ring deletes the property’s data, except anything the law requires us to keep.
How long it takes
We confirm your request within 7 days and complete the deletion within 30 days. Copies in our safety backups disappear within 35 days.
Facebook, Instagram and other apps
- Removing access: you can remove a business’s access from your own Facebook or Instagram settings. That stops new messages reaching Ring through that app. To delete what was already received, ask us as above.
- Deleting in the app: deleting a conversation inside WhatsApp, Instagram or another app does not delete the copy the property keeps in Ring. Ask us as above to have it deleted.
TikTok
Deleting a TikTok conversation in the TikTok app does not delete the copy the property keeps in Ring. Ask us as above to have it deleted.
